Hello there! I'm Glenn, a Magic player since 1994, after the release of The Dark expansion. I learned how to play through one of my classmates who brought his collection to school. My interest in the game was not that large until the next expansion, Fallen Empires was released on late 1994. I asked for a few packs of cards (and a revised starter deck) from my mom and my interest in the game rose to great heights. Soon, Ice Age was released and the game's popularity increased. Many people in our class shared my feelings of disappointment in Homelands and of joy in Alliances. After Alliances great success, then came Magic's so-called "dark ages". Many months passed and no new expansion was released. My interest in the game was gone. I did not get a chance to buy Mirage, Visions and Weatherlight when they came out in 1997 (thought I soon bought many Weatherlight boosters as you can see later on). Then I was intrigued by a new creture type in the Rathe Cycle (Tempest cycle), the Slivers. I bought the then-new pre-constructed deck called "The Slivers". Needless to say, I had fun! My interest in the game was back and now I'm enjoying the great new expansions. Long live Magic!
